ÒSpiritual Disciplines for Ordinary PeopleÓ Sermon Series |
Revd Philip Rowe |
|
||||
|
|
This the latest initiative in our ÔGoing for GrowthÕ plans. The aim of
Going for Growth is that we are Ôcreating a community of wholeness, with
Christ at the centreÕ. At the core of achieving this goal is our own
personal spiritual growth as disciples of Jesus Christ. We aim to do this by
developing a Ôrule of lifeÕ – spiritual disciplines or routines –
to help us change from the inside out. I have found John OrtbergÕs book ÔThe Life You Always WantedÕ to be a
very incisive, but accessible, book. It gave me strategies to grow
spiritually. This sermon series is based around chapters from ÔThe Life You
Always WantedÕ. Sermon notes are provided below. If you would like to talk over your
Ôrule of lifeÕ please contact me. I would be delighted to assist in any way I
can. |
